Xbox Play Anywhere From September 13th
Great News! Xbox Play Anywhere will go live on September 13 this year. Earlier this year during E3, Microsoft had made the announcement that they will be launching Play Anywhere later this year, and now they have come up with a date for it.
They had come up with the program, so that gamers can play the same game on different Microsoft consoles, without having to purchase the same game twice. A really welcome move made by Microsoft, and now we don’t have to wait too long for it as well. So now if you have a game on your Xbox One, you can play it on your PC as well without having shed extra money on the game. It works both ways, so if you have bought a game on your PC then you will be able to play it on your Xbox as well.
A single ID will be created which will keep a track of the games you have played, your achievements and if you have unlocked anything as well. So there will not be any duplication on this front for you. As announced earlier, ReCore will be the first game that will be compatible with the program. It will be followed by the likes of Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4 and Halo Wars 2.
To make sure you are able to benefit from the program (whether Xbox or PC) is able to support the Play Anywhere program, you have to update your systems. You will have to install the update for your Xbox that will come out in a few weeks and you will have to need to install the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on your PC, which will come out in the beginning of next month. This will enable you to benefit from Xbox Play Anywhere.
