Pokemon GO Loses 15 million Players : Brings New Updates to retain Players
The game that had taken over the world, which was the fastest to see 50 million unique players has seen a rapid fall in its popularity as well. Recently it lost 15 million daily players.
The initial version of the game has seen some changes, and after regular updates, it has started giving safety messages and has also made some gameplay changes. The latest change that they have planned is to introduce the system of a buddy. On a post made by Niantic on the Pokemon Go website (available here), they confirmed and detailed the new buddy system. This is what they had to say:
“You will be able to pick your favorite Pokemon from your collection to become your buddy, opening up unique in-game rewards and experiences…. Buddy Pokemon will appear alongside your Trainer avatar on your profile screen, adding helpful bonuses such as awarding Candy for walking together. You’ll also have the ability to change your Buddy Pokemon at any time.
We don’t have a date for this update yet. However going by Niantic’s words the update won’t be too far away.
