What We Know About Nintendo Switch So Far
It has been confirmed that the Nintendo Switch will not be backward compatible with physical 3DS and Wii U games. So the games that have been launched for them will not be playable on the Nintendo Switch unless updated versions of the games are released. Either that or if there are remastered versions of the games made, which will be playable on the Switch.
Nintendo has decided to stick with the cartridge system. So if you want to play a game on the Switch, you will have to get its cartridge. This directly takes out Wii U games from being playable on the Switch.
While purchasing the device, the box will contain Joy-Con controllers. These controllers will be fixed on either side of the device. We expect games like Mario (the new one scheduled to release in December), NBA 2K and Skyrim among others to be playable on the device.
