More Games For Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has focused on different types of games before the Nintendo Switch. They generally added games which had lower requirements. This enabled the games to run more smoothly, and led to fewer bugs and errors.
With the Switch, Nintendo is trying to alter its image as a console. Currently it is seen as a console for kids, and as gaming has involved, it is looking to become popular among young adults as well.
This is a tough task and Nintendo is looking achieve this by increasing the number of games available. This has prompted them to include more number of developers.
Previously they had lacked interest in developers like Bethesda and did not approach them for games. However, this is changing as Bethesda will be rolling out Skyrim on the Swtich. This could lead to many more exciting games to be introduced on the Switch. It would be a win-win situation as Skyrim would get yet another platform to develop games for.
Bethesda’s Todd Howard seems to be excited about the new collaboration. He was praising Nintendo’s new console as he said, “I think it’s the kind of device that only Nintendo could make. It’s exciting to bring Skyrim to the Nintendo audience.”
A remastered version of Skyrim will be coming out later this year. The special edition will be out in October for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Bethesda has not disclosed the launch date of Skyrim for the Switch, but it is expected to come out around the same time as the launch of the special edition.
Nintendo Switch is scheduled to come out next week on March 3rd. It is expected to have a great number of games, which would continue to launch after the console is available for purchase.
