Day One Patch for Horizon Zero Dawn
Killzone’s Horizon Zero Dawn is coming out on 28th February in North America and on 1st March in Europe. The game is a PS4 exclusive, and will be releasing only for PS4.
Sony has recently announced that the game will have a Day One Patch. Although it is only 250 MB, but the game will have to be updated as soon as it has been inserted in the PS console.
The patch is specifically for improvements on the PS4 Pro. There is uncertainty with respect to the “higher visual fidelity” that the patch offers. But the patch should improve the overall visuals of the game, including a better reception for 4K as well as 1080p resolutions.
According to developers Guerilla Games, “Horizon Zero Dawn will receive a small day zero patch that will build upon PlayStation 4 Pro support, adding a Performance mode which will favor smoother framerates while delivering higher visual fidelity in the 1080p mode. This mode is available for both 4K and 1080p displays.”
This year Sony and Microsoft are both looking to increase the number of exclusive franchises. They are looking to introduce more franchises this year, which would become popular to continue.
