Halo to Bring Back Split Screen
In the latest version of Halo, 343 Industries did not include the split screen feature. It was one of the best features of the game, and having left it out really affected a lot of people. So much that people even went on to criticize the game and Microsoft from not including it.
But Microsoft has learnt from this. They have decided to re-include the split-screen feature in the next game of the franchise. They made the announcement during DICE 2017. Bonnie Ross, 343 Industries executive, confirmed the inclusion during the event. He even confirmed that the exclusion of the feature was quite detrimental for the game. They learnt the importance of the feature the hard way.
In fact, he went to say that “For any FPS going out forward, we will always have split-screen in,” she said. So any FPS game that Microsoft will be developing is surely going to have the split screen feature, whether you use it or not.
After the game was launched, the development team at 343 realized that the franchise will continue to be successful, if it does not include the Split Screen feature. However, once the game had already been produced, there was simply no way of adding the feature. As a result they could not release a patch or any update which would include the split screen feature.
However, the next is expected to come out only next year. Halo 5 came out in October 2015, a little over 1 year.
